Dear Friends,

I recall that it was on a Sunday afternoon while visiting my parents when I sat down with my Daddy to talk about days gone by. I transcribed his stories and put them into book form for my siblings as a Christmas gift. It was only a few months later that my father passed away. There’s nothing I cherish more than those stories he shared.

I began thinking about how wonderful it was to have these stories to pass down to my children. It was then that I thought others would surely appreciate having the stories of their loved ones as well. I researched the possibility of helping others tell their story and I quickly gained a passion to pursue this interest. I began studying and taking classes in oral history methods. One story led to another and I knew I had found my niche and purpose.

I soon opened Heritage Creations, a service business which creates customized biographies. Everybody has a story to tell and it gives me great pleasure knowing that I’m doing something that makes a difference in people’s lives.

Family histories are more than names and dates, and are enhanced by the details of everyday life and the stories that once were passed on from generation to generation. A personal history becomes a family treasure and enables future generations to emulate the virtues and characteristics of their forebears. It is Heritage Creations mission to passionately devote time in preserving these memories.

If they are like me, they will read with great interest.

After all, you lived it, and it will enrich the remainder of your life and will mean the world to your children and children’s children.
