I’m so grateful to have connected with Heritage Creations and Shirley LaPlante.  I was somewhat reluctant to talk about my experiences in Vietnam because it had been almost forty years since my return and frankly I wasn’t sure I could talk about it.  Shirley met with me at my home and immediately put me to ease and handled my interview in a comfortable yet professional manner.  By telling my story it was a healing experience to finally verbalize what I’ve kept to myself all these years.  Writing my Vietnam experiences helped me to understand myself and I had a real need to deal with some of the heartbreak and tragedy that I experienced.  I will truly treasure this book because it is a part of my life that I will never forget.  Heritage Creations has captured my memories and I’m very grateful for this priceless gift that I will always cherish.

I am convinced that my life story is the ultimate gift I could give my loved ones.  A house, jewelry and money are nothing in comparison to our lives we lived.  The story of my life is a precious legacy, as is anyone’s.  It gives me a feeling of having completed a unique and invaluable project for my family and future generations.  What a good feeling!
